Anushka Sharma was the lead in the movie "Band Baaja Baaraat. She played a Punjabi woman from the middle classes who runs her own wedding company. The film received excellent reviews and was widely regarded as to be a surprise success. The contract of Anushka's for three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with Band Baaja Baaraat.
